Yesterday I went on a "Secret Field Trip" with the Cora Coleman Senior Center where I work 3 days a week. Our center goes on a lot of field trips but we always know where we are going and what to expect, but on this trip we were told we had to sign up for a trip that would be completely secret until we got to our destination. Of course everyone on the buses were all speculating where we might be going and driving the bus drivers crazy the entire way. Our first stop.... a local custom hat making company, what a treat to see how all of the Roy Roger and Dale Evans family hats are still made. This plant is still using equipment from before I was born...I'm talking old. Our next stop was lunch at Smash Burger, the best black burger and olive oil and rosemary fries I have ever had. Our third secret stop was at the Studio 21 Tattoo shop, a family own shop with really talented artists. This place is so clean you can eat off the floor, and our final stop before going back to the center was Baskin Robins Ice cream, a great way to end a perfect day with so many friends. Thanks Carol for all your hard work and really ....how the heck were you able to keep all this from me?
