Birthday celebration in Hawaii
A beautiful sunrise on Greg's birthday. Another fantastic time with the kids and grandkids. I can't believe how fast the time goes, my grandsons are the nicest most respective young adults I know....great job to my daughter Vickey for raising such wonderful, productive individuals. And how lucky am I to be a great grandma to the littlest guy in the photo. Thanks everyone for another wonderful visit, I am so lucky to have you all in my life.

Redneck Riviera
What a fun day!! got a special invite to go down to the Redneck Riviera in Las Vegas with a small group of people to meet and see John Rich put on a impromptu acoustic set. This is a new bar owned by John Rich of the duo Big and Rich, I love the way he supports our Veterans. He has a small bar inside this bar that he calls "The Hero's Bar". Every single day of every single week any and all U.S. Vets get their first drink on the house as his way of saying "thanks" for serving our country ...who does that? Great guy. He invited the police force, the firemen of Las Vegas and a few people like me. He took the first hour walking around talking to people and taking photos, then he got on stage and played his guitar and sang for the small group I'd say maybe 50-60 people, it felt like he was in his home singing for friends. Love that little place, no food is served but they have Wallburgers menu and bring the food up (Wallburgers is right below the Redneck Riviera).

Windy's Ranch & Rescue
Had a terrific day today out in Overton visiting Windy's Ranch and Rescue. Janice is the owner and runs the place with a few volunteers (not enough if you ask me). The ranch is really a good size and so many animals there that need love and care. If you are interested in helping out either volunteering or giving a donation please go to her website and contact Janice...she really needs the help and would so appreciate anything you could do to help.
She has pigs, horses, cats, dogs,Emu's, turkeys, chickens, rabbits, ducks ...did I say PIGS? they are so cute too.

Off the Grid with the whole Cox Cable thing
It's been about a month now that I got so fed up with Cox Cable I decided to dump them for my cable provider. I hired Mr. Antenna to come put up my antenna....yup one of the old fashioned ones that goes on your roof. I actually had Cox come out and put in all their little mini boxes they said we all needed but the day they did that it took them about 11 hours and they left my house with my main TV with NO picture at all ...and they knew it. All my TV's worked fine when they came in and and when they left it was pathetic. That night one of my TV's upstairs lost cable and I decided right there...all the mini boxes and Cox can go to hell. So for the past 6 or more years I have had a subscription to Netflix and Hulu which runs me about $15 a month which gives me more than enough movies and TV shows to watch and my Mr. Antenna gives me over 40 channels which includes all the local networks and can I just say the reception is so much better than Cox ever was? I'm so happy with my decision to ditch Cox for TV that I had to share .....I'm even saving $80 plus dollars a month!
